Ah, the Fall.

Well last weekend consisted of taking Harley to the vet, and then watching him to make sure he did not chew this bandage off. Harley broke his nail, and it was cracked way up near his foot. It was so scary looking and nasty, the vet had to sedate him and cut it waaaayy back. (gross!) So here is Harley's bandage. We love our Vet's office! They drew that heart on Harley's bandage.

Harley wasn't very happy after waking up to find this club taped to his foot. Notice the lack of eye contact! I took several pictures, but he would not look at me :( I wasn't even the one who took him to the vet!

My pictures are out of order. Here is Maggie after our hike today. I thought it was funny that she was sleeping with her head on a bag of charcoal. Maggie loves BBQ!

Tom, Seth, and I took all 4 doggies hiking today. It was cloudy, but perfect for hiking. The leaves are just beautiful right now as well!

This is the best we could do at getting all 4 dogs in a picture. It's a circus! Lola, Bear Dog, Harley, and Maggie are BFFs!

The Moser Blog Returns to it's Original Format....Trees and Dogs

Ah, finally back to the original format. Obviously it's been too long since we have had any massive trees to clean up, so we had two big Oak trees taken down today.
Clearly, I am being sarcastic ;) Unfortunately these trees have died, so we had to take them down before they did any damage. This is not really our favorite past time.....despite what it may seem!
This tree was between the driveways.
View from the top of our driveway.

Tom with his trusty chainsaw.
Maggie and Harley supervising.
This was the tree closest to the house. We could see that there were several holes in it that would be perfect homes for the little squirrels that torment Maggie and Harley. We were right. I am sad to say that there was a casualty during the tree cutting today. I was not home to witness it, but Tom says that the squirrel was killed on impact....However, Tom did not realize there had been a casualty until he saw Maggie galloping around the yard, and tossing something furry into the air over and over again. This was the poor guy's comfy little home.

Double stick action.
Well, this picture makes him look tan-ish, but I swear this Wooly Worm was green! I can't remember how the saying goes, but I think the darker Wooly worms mean a bad winter. Is that right? Anyway, I would like to know what a green one means!
and is it "wooly", or "willy" worms??
OH, and I got a new Jeep!!!!!!!!

My new 08 Patriot. The tires are so muddy because it rained for 3/4 of the weekend, and had previously rained for weeks before that!

Here is an after picture. Tom and I (mostly Tom) removed the window vent shade thingys that were above the windows. It looks better without them, and they really block your view when they are on. It took hours to take that sticky stuff off! It was painstaking!

Tom installing my Sirius radio.

Our Jeep Family is complete. Well, almost...Tom wants a Wrangler!
We need a sign that says something about only Jeeps coming up on our hill!

Inside the back.
I love that it has this hard plastic floor.

A Quick Update

Sorry we have been slacking on the blog updates. Here are a few random pictures from the last couple months.

We have had a few interesting visitors this summer. I thought this moth was really neat. The neighbors probably think I'm crazy...I am always taking pictures of the most simple things. I can't help it....I find beauty in the simple things. (although my pictures don't always turn out beautiful!)

Our first, and ONLY camping trip this summer. Can you believe that? Only one camping trip. sooo sad!

The Moser men went to Bristol for a NASCAR race!

The melons! They were tiny, but they were delicious!!!! We have had way too many jalapenos this summer. Tom just picked 47 today!

Another friendly visitor! The picture is not that good. We probably took 20 pictures of this little guy, and just could not get a good one.

Here we are at the "Brewgrass" festival this past Saturday. This event sells out in March or April when the tickets go on sale, and Tom and I have never been able to get tickets. This year we lucked out and got tickets the night before! We had a blast, and hope to make this an annual event for us. They announced another brew fest for May 29, 2010, that will feature different music....not bluegrass. So mark your calendars and get your tickets now!
Now on to the carpet pictures.

Before.......
(Maggie obviously never passes up an opportunity to be in a picture!)

This is our bedroom. This picture really made the carpet look bad...yikes!

AFTER!!!!!
Harley is enjoying it.

Maggie approves. The dogs were so tired by this point. We kept them outside all day while the carpet was being installed, so they were not able to get their routine naps in on that day. By the time the carpet people left, Maggie and Harley could hardly keep their eyes open!

another after pic.

It's blueberry season! Yipee!! We went to our favorite picking spot, and here Harley is, enjoying a nice refreshing swim after having to stay on the leash and watch us pick berries for what must have felt like hours. Usually there is a lot of encouraging and coaxing going on to get Harley to swim, but he went right in and did this all on his own. He is such a good boy!!!

The classic berry picking pose. I think I have a picture of Tom in this pose for about every year we have lived here.

Mothra

I found this little guy while we were planting yesterday. He is so beautiful!!! We have some incredible moths around here. I like leaving the porch light on to see what will come around.....but Tom hates it :)
Oh, and for a Hawk update, he is still here! He was very active yesterday while we were outside. It was neat to watch him glide over the hills in search of food.

Ladscaping.....

We decided to do a little a landscaping today, we put down some edger blocks, a few azalea bushes, some hostas, a butterfly bush and some mulch.

Here's the baby Cantaloupe update......still growing and getting bigger!!
We've had lots of good zucchini and yellow squash lately, haven't tried the jalapenos yet!!

A quick update.......

Life here has been really hectic and busy lately. Our garden has been growing like crazy, we are very grateful for all of the rain!!

Here's some Yellow squash
Roma Tomatoes

Cantaloupe(first time we've ever grown melons)

Some big tomatoes

Zucchini (we steamed one with dinner this evening. I can't wait to make some bread too, I'm sure that we'll have plenty. Anyone know of any good recipes??)

Jalapenos

Gotta love that our douche bag neighbor put this huge white spaceship looking shed behind his house. I'm thinking about sneaking over there in the middle of the night with my paint sprayer and painting it all hunter green.

We planted a raspberry bush almost two years ago. last year we got a few good ones off of it, but this year it has really taken off, we've managed to get a couple of good handfuls so far and there are more to come!!!

The 4th of July we went, with a couple of friends, to Cincinnati. We got to see Emo, Mitzie, Julia, Riley, Dad and Deb. Thanks to Mom we got great seats to two Reds Games and stayed at her apt. which is only one block from the Great American Ball Park!!

This is us on the Roof of Mom's building

The Great American Ball Park, and in the backgroud is Paul Brown Stadium(where the Bengals get beat)

Dawn, Marcus, Trish and I

Reds Vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The view from Mom's Balcony, that's the Purple People Bridge that takes you to Newport(home of the Hofbrau Haus)

Trish had a hair appt. this week!! Here's my beautiful wife........(I'm thinking she took somewhere between 4 and 8 inches off!!!)

I went to the barber and got a little trim. After he cut my hair it was obvious that I needed a beard trim, Here's a before and after.........
